Kannada TV Actor Nandini CM Found Dead in Bengaluru PG

The Kannada television industry is mourning the loss of Nandini CM, a 26-year-old actor who died by suicide in Bengaluru. Police confirmed that she was found unresponsive at her paying guest (PG) accommodation in the Kengeri area. The incident has drawn attention to the mental health pressures faced by young professionals in creative fields.

What Happened

According to police, Nandini returned to her PG room late on December 28 after visiting a friend. When repeated phone calls went unanswered through the night, the friend alerted the PG staff. The room was opened the next morning, and she was found hanging inside. Emergency responders declared her dead at the scene.
An Unnatural Death Report (UDR No. 76/2025) has been registered by the Kengeri Police under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) Act, 2023.

Background: Career, Education, and Life in Bengaluru

Nandini had been part of Kannada television serials since 2019. She finished her pre-university studies in Ballari and later joined an engineering college in Hesaraghatta. However, she decided not to continue the course, as she wanted to build a career in acting. To follow this path, she received formal acting training in Rajarajeshwari Nagar.
In August 2025, she shifted to a paying guest (PG) accommodation in the Kengeri area of Bengaluru, where the incident later took place.

Emotional Stress and Career Pressure

During the initial investigation, police recovered a diary entry that offered insight into Nandini’s state of mind. She expressed a strong wish to continue acting and shared her discomfort with accepting a government job offered on compassionate grounds after her father died in 2023.
Family members stated that she often felt pressured and misunderstood regarding her career choices. Importantly, they have not raised concerns about foul play.

Investigation Status

Police officials have said that all angles will be carefully examined before concluding. The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of a police sub-inspector, and further details will be shared once inquiries are complete.

Industry Reaction and Public Response

The news of Nandini’s death has sent shockwaves through the Kannada television community. Fans and colleagues have shared messages of grief online, remembering her as a dedicated artist with clear ambitions. Formal statements from industry peers are expected in the coming days.

Why This Matters

From a medical and public health standpoint, the death of Kannada TV actress Nandini CM highlights the silent burden of emotional distress, career uncertainty, and unresolved grief. Young adults in high-pressure professions may appear outwardly successful while struggling internally. Early mental health support, open conversations, and timely counselling can play a crucial role in prevention.

Suicide is preventable, and help is available. If you are feeling overwhelmed or distressed, please consider reaching out to a trusted person or a mental health professional.
