Son’s Indecent Acts Lead to Brutal Murder by Mother
A shocking incident unfolded in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district, where a 57-year-old woman allegedly killed her son due to his inappropriate behavior. The woman, identified as K Lakshmi Devi, reportedly committed the act on February 13, with assistance from her relatives, according to the police.
Repeated Misconduct Led to the Crime
Prakasam Superintendent of Police, AR Damodar, stated that the deceased, K Shyam Prasad (35), was a cleaner who had repeatedly behaved indecently towards his family members. His inappropriate actions had reportedly extended to his maternal aunts and other relatives in different cities, including Bengaluru, Khammam, Hyderabad, and Narasaraopeta.
Extreme Action Taken
Unable to tolerate his behavior any longer, Lakshmi Devi allegedly attacked Prasad with an axe or a sharp weapon, leading to his death. Following the murder, she, along with her relatives, dismembered his body into five pieces.
Body Disposed of in Canal
After the killing, the body parts were placed in three sacks and discarded in the Nakalagandi canal in Cumbum village. The police suspect that the murder was premeditated, given how the body was disposed of.
Legal Action and Search for Accused
The police have registered a case under Sections 103(1) and 238 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Lakshmi Devi and the other accused are currently on the run, and a police search operation is underway to locate them.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are actively investigating the case, gathering evidence, and questioning potential witnesses. Law enforcement officials urge the public to report any information that could assist in locating the accused.
