Woman Says Husband Forced Abortion, Wanted Nora Fatehi Body

A 26-year-old woman from Muradnagar, Ghaziabad, has come forward with a disturbing case. The woman alleges torture by her husband, who reportedly forced her to transform her appearance to resemble Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi. She has now filed a police complaint detailing harassment, body shaming, and even a forced miscarriage.

Husband’s Alleged Obsession with Nora Fatehi

According to the complaint, the woman married a 28-year-old physical education teacher from Meerut in March this year. Soon after, she said her husband began comparing her with actor Nora Fatehi. He allegedly insisted that she maintain a slim figure and pressured her to spend nearly three hours daily at the gym.
If she skipped workouts, he reportedly restricted her meals, warning her against gaining weight. She further claimed he constantly taunted her about her looks and even told her his life was ruined because he could have married a woman who looked like the actor.According to Dr. Zhang, the technology is already at a “mature stage.” The next step is integrating it into a humanoid robot so that people can interact with the machine during the simulated pregnancy journey.

Dowry and Financial Pressure

The complaint also mentioned dowry-related harassment. The woman’s family allegedly spent around ₹75 lakh on the wedding, including gifting a Mahindra Scorpio, jewellery, and cash. Despite this, she said her in-laws continued to demand more money and valuables.

Forced Abortion Allegation

Perhaps the most shocking claim was related to her pregnancy. The woman stated that two months ago, she discovered she was expecting. However, she alleged that her husband secretly gave her an abortion pill without her knowledge, which later caused a miscarriage.
She said her health deteriorated afterwards, and while her in-laws dropped her off at her parents’ home, doctors later confirmed she had suffered a miscarriage.

Family Conflict and Police Action

By late July, the in-laws allegedly barred her from entering their Muradnagar home. Left with no option, she approached the Mahila Thana (women’s police station) and lodged a formal complaint this week.

Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the husband and his parents under sections related to dowry harassment, humiliation, and illegal abortion. “The investigation is underway, and all allegations are being verified,” said DCP Dhawal Jaiswal.

Conclusion

This case highlights the severe physical and mental health consequences of body shaming, forced dieting, and coerced medical interventions. Experts warn that pressuring women to meet unrealistic beauty standards can cause long-term psychological trauma, eating disorders, and serious health complications.
