Man Sells Kidney for Family—Wife Flees With ₹10 Lakh!
A shocking case has emerged from Howrah, West Bengal, where a woman allegedly convinced her husband to sell his kidney for Rs 10 lakh. She assured him that the money would be used to improve their financial situation and enroll their 12-year-old daughter in a better school. Trusting his wife’s intentions, the man agreed to the surgery.
Wife Disappears with Money After Surgery
Following the successful surgery last month, the man brought home the Rs 10 lakh. His wife advised him to rest and recover, ensuring him that she would take care of their household affairs. However, shortly after, she left the house and never returned.
When the man checked their home, he discovered that the entire Rs 10 lakh, along with additional cash, was missing from the almirah. Realizing what had happened, he sought help from friends and family to locate his wife.
Tracing the Woman's Whereabouts
With the assistance of close contacts, the husband and his family tracked the woman down in Kolkata. She was reportedly living with another man, whom she had allegedly met on Facebook a year earlier. According to the complaint, she had been involved in an extramarital affair with him.
Confrontation and Allegations
The husband, along with his mother and daughter, visited the woman’s residence to confront her. However, she refused to communicate with them. Her alleged lover claimed that she intended to file for divorce, citing physical and mental abuse from her in-laws during her 16-year marriage.
In contrast, the husband denied the allegations, stating that she had stolen Rs 10 lakh from their home. The woman, however, asserted that she had only taken her savings.
Police Investigation Underway
The police have launched an investigation based on the husband’s complaint. Authorities are reviewing video footage of the confrontation between the husband’s family and the woman’s alleged lover. Further questioning of the woman and her partner is expected before any legal action is taken.
This incident has raised concerns about financial exploitation within relationships, highlighting the need for trust and legal awareness in financial decisions involving family members.
