How does a young, bright doctor-in-training end up with fatal burn injuries far from where she was supposed to be?
Here, you’ll learn the shocking story of Dr. Bhawana Yadav, her mysterious death in Hisar, and the unfolding murder investigation
A 25-year-old Foreign Medical Graduate from Alwar, Rajasthan, who had completed her MBBS from the Philippines, tragically died after sustaining severe burn injuries in Hisar. Dr. Bhawana Yadav, who was preparing for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) in Delhi, was found under suspicious circumstances, leading to a registered murder case.
Who Was Dr. Bhawana Yadav?
Dr. Bhawana Yadav completed her medical degree in 2023 from the Philippines. She was preparing for her FMGE through DEMS coaching in Delhi, attending weekly tests while managing her studies online.
On April 21 and 22, she stayed with her younger sister in Delhi, who is currently preparing for the UPSC exam. After completing her exams, Bhawana informed her mother she would return home on the morning of April 24.
Sadly, that homecoming never happened.
Burn Injuries in Hisar: The Mystery Deepens
Instead of returning home, Bhawana was found with devastating burn injuries in Hisar, Haryana.
On April 24, a man named Udesh Yadav contacted her mother, Gayatri Yadav, informing her about the burn injuries and hospitalization at Soni Hospital, Hisar.
During a distressing video call from the hospital, Bhawana’s family saw her in a critical condition. They rushed to Hisar immediately but found few answers. According to the family, the hospital staff did not explain where or how Bhawana was found.
Due to her serious condition, she was shifted to SMS Hospital in Jaipur, where, tragically, she passed away later that night.
Allegations: "My Daughter Was Stabbed and Set on Fire"
Dr. Bhawana’s mother, Gayatri Yadav, has alleged foul play. She filed a Zero FIR in Jaipur, claiming that her daughter was not only burnt but had visible sharp weapon injuries on her abdomen.
She said,
“Her face, abdomen, and legs up to the knees were badly burnt, but her hair and back remained untouched.”
Gayatri suspects that Bhawana was first stabbed and then set ablaze. Additionally, important belongings like Bhawana’s laptop, mobile phone, and documents are missing, adding more weight to the suspicion of murder
Police Investigation: What’s Happening Now?
The Zero FIR registered in Jaipur has been forwarded to Hisar’s Civil Lines police station for further investigation. However, Inspector Kavita, in charge at Hisar, mentioned that the FIR was yet to be received.
A murder case has already been registered against a man from Rewari. As investigations proceed, the police aim to uncover the complete truth behind this horrifying incident.
Final Words: A Young Life Cut Short
The mysterious death of Dr. Bhawana Yadav has shaken the medical and student communities. A promising future was lost under tragic and suspicious circumstances, and her family continues to seek justice.
As the investigation continues, we hope the truth will come to light, providing some closure to a grieving family and preventing such tragedies from recurring.
"She had her whole life ahead of her. It’s heartbreaking to think someone so young and full of dreams could meet such a cruel end."
