Baby Born in Moving Cab—Rapido Driver's Selfless Act Stuns All

In an extraordinary act of kindness, a Rapido driver in Gurugram went beyond his duty to help a woman give birth inside his vehicle. The driver, identified as Vikas, not only assisted in the delivery but also ensured that both the mother and newborn safely reached the hospital.

Unexpected Turn of Events During Ride

The heartwarming incident came to light when Rohan Mehra, a Reddit user, shared the story on the platform. Mehra had booked a Rapido cab for his cook, whose wife was in labor and needed urgent transportation to the hospital. However, during the journey, the woman experienced intense pain and delivered a baby boy inside the vehicle.

Driver's Selfless Assistance

Realizing the urgency of the situation, Vikas remained calm and helped in the delivery process. He ensured the mother and newborn were safe throughout the ride and promptly took them to the hospital for necessary medical attention.

Remarkable Humility and Integrity

What stood out the most was Vikas’ humility. Despite playing a crucial role in such an extraordinary event, he only charged the standard fare displayed on the Rapido app. He did not ask for any additional payment, reflecting his selflessness and integrity.

Appeal to Locate the Driver

Touched by the driver’s act of kindness, Mehra expressed his desire to appreciate him but faced difficulty in locating him after the ride. In his Reddit post, he requested Rapido’s co-founder, Pavan Guntupalli, to help connect with Vikas so that he could extend his gratitude. Mehra also shared screenshots of the ride details in hopes of identifying the driver.

A Story of Humanity and Kindness

This incident highlights how acts of kindness and compassion still exist in society. Vikas’ actions not only ensured the safety of a mother and child but also set an inspiring example of selflessness. His story serves as a reminder that even in unexpected situations, a little humanity can make a big difference.
