Boiled Peanut Chaat: A Delicious Twist to Your Salad Bowl
Summary: Peanuts, also known as groundnuts, are rich in protein, and when combined with the goodness of veggies, they are a deadly combination. Boiled peanut chaat (salad) is ideal for early evening hunger pangs. It is low in carbohydrates, keto-friendly, and vegan! What more can you ask for?
Ingredients
- Raw peanuts 1 cup – Boiled
- Cucumber 1 no.
- Onion 1 no.
- Tomato 1 no.
- Green chilly: 1 no.
- Mint leaves
- Coriander leaves
- Salt
- Chaat masala
- Red chilli powder
- Lime juice
Method
- In a bowl, mix the boiled peanuts, chopped ingredients – cucumber, onion, tomato, and green chili, and mix well
- Add spices – salt, chaat masala, red chilly powder
- Mix in mint and coriander leaves
- Add lemon juice and toss to mix all the ingredients
- Lo and behold, peanut chaat (salad) is ready – keep it aside for 15 minutes, or you can refrigerate it for 30 minutes before serving
You can add spices as per your liking.
