Man Takes Bank Loan to Hire Killers for Sister-in-Law's Murder
A shocking crime has come to light in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, where a 21-year-old woman was brutally gang-raped, murdered, and set on fire. According to the police, the woman’s brother-in-law orchestrated the crime by taking a bank loan of Rs 40,000 to hire two individuals to carry out the attack.
Victim Goes Missing
The woman was reported missing from her village on January 21. Following an extensive search, authorities discovered her remains, including a partially burned skull, in a nearby forest on Friday. The body was severely charred, making identification difficult.
Identification and Evidence
Despite the condition of the body, the victim’s parents were able to identify her through partially burnt clothing, footwear, a ring, intact hair with a clip, and undergarments recovered from the crime scene. The remains have since been sent for postmortem examination.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Following the discovery, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder and gang rape. On Saturday, authorities arrested the brother-in-law, while the two hired accomplices remain on the run.
Motive Behind the Crime
According to Muzaffarnagar SP (Rural) Aditya Bansal, the primary accused was involved in a secret relationship with the victim for the past two years. He revealed during interrogation that the woman had been blackmailing him with private photos and videos of their relationship. This reportedly led him to plan and execute the heinous crime.
Conclusion
Law enforcement agencies are actively pursuing the remaining suspects and gathering further evidence to ensure justice for the victim. Authorities have urged the public to report any information that could assist in the investigation.
This tragic incident highlights the urgent need for stricter measures to prevent such crimes and protect vulnerable individuals from violence.
