Shocking Death at Mainpuri Hospital: Doctor's Neglect Exposed
A tragic incident unfolded at Mainpuri District Hospital in Uttar Pradesh, where a 60-year-old woman lost her life due to an apparent delay in medical attention. The patient, Pravesh Kumari, was brought to the emergency ward after suffering a heart attack. However, her family claims that the attending doctor, Dr. Adarsh Sanger, failed to provide immediate medical assistance and instead remained occupied with his mobile phone.
Delayed Medical Response Alleged
According to the woman’s son, Guru Sharan Singh, his mother was placed on a stretcher in the emergency ward around noon. While a nurse and a hospital assistant were attending to other patients, Dr. Sanger allegedly continued using his phone instead of directly treating Kumari. Despite repeated requests from the family, he reportedly instructed a nurse to handle the case rather than personally intervening.
Escalation and Outrage
As Kumari’s condition deteriorated, her sons tried to comfort her by rubbing her arms and feet, hoping for some relief. However, after nearly 15 minutes, blood started coming from her mouth, causing panic among the family members. At this point, the doctor finally approached them, but instead of providing medical assistance, he allegedly responded with aggression and slapped one of Kumari’s sons, leading to a commotion inside the hospital.
CCTV Footage and Public Reaction
The incident was captured on CCTV footage, which reportedly shows the doctor sitting at his desk while the nurses attended to the patient. The video also shows the moment when he slapped the patient’s son. Once circulated on social media, the footage sparked widespread public outrage and condemnation.
Investigation and Official Response
Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Madan Lal confirmed that an inquiry has been launched into the matter. He assured that appropriate action would be taken if any negligence is proven. The case has also been reported to higher authorities for further review.
Conclusion
This distressing event has once again highlighted concerns regarding medical negligence in public hospitals. The victim’s family, along with the public, is demanding strict action against those responsible to ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future.
