Man Killed by Cousin's Compressor Pipe Joke in Gujarat

A tragic incident unfolded in Gujarat when a man, Prakash, lost his life due to a prank involving a compressor pipe. The incident occurred on Monday while Prakash was visiting his brother Ghevabhai and cousin Alpesh at a metal company in Kadi.
According to police reports, the family members and friends were relaxing in the evening when Alpesh, in an attempt to play a joke, inserted a compressor pipe into Prakash’s private parts. The high-pressure air from the pipe caused severe internal injuries, ultimately leading to Prakash’s death.

Immediate Consequences: Vomiting and Unconsciousness

The prank quickly turned into a nightmare as Prakash began vomiting and lost consciousness shortly after the incident. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but had to be transferred to the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital due to the severity of his condition. Tragically, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Family's Account and Complaint

Prakash had visited his family as his workplace was closed for the Republic Day holiday. His brother, Ghevabhai, explained that Alpesh was fully aware of the dangers posed by the compressor’s high air pressure but still went ahead with the prank.
Deeply shaken by the incident, Ghevabhai filed a formal complaint against Alpesh. Police have since begun an investigation, noting that the act was intended “for fun” but resulted in fatal consequences.

Authorities Urge Caution

The police are treating the case seriously and have cautioned against reckless behaviour with industrial equipment. They emphasized that misuse of such tools can lead to tragic outcomes and urged workplaces to enforce safety protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Transition to Legal Actions

As the investigation progresses, authorities are examining the circumstances leading up to the incident and will determine the appropriate legal steps. The tragic loss of Prakash serves as a grim reminder of how seemingly harmless pranks can result in irreversible harm.

Conclusion

This heartbreaking event underscores the need for responsible behaviour, especially around hazardous equipment. The family of the victim now seeks justice while mourning an untimely loss caused by an ill-conceived prank.
