Sweet Corn Chaat: Nutritious, Filling, and Full of Flavor
The corn on the cob during the rainy season is to die for! Here is a simple recipe for sweet corn chaat that is a great anytime snack. Corn is known for its high fibre content, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, as well as essential nutrients like folate, Vitamin B9, and Vitamin C. Corn is known to aid in digestion and is satiating.
Ingredients
- 1 bowl of sweet corn kernels – boiled
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 finely chopped tomato
- 1 – 2 finely chopped green chillies (as per taste)
- 1 tsp. Cumin powder
- 1 tsp. Chaat masala
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp. lime juice
- Coriander/cilantro for garnish
- A handful of pomegranate seeds for garnish
Method
- In a bowl, take the boiled sweet corn kernels
- Add the chopped onion, tomato, green chilli,
- Season with cumin powder, chaat masala, salt,
- Add lime juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Add some pomegranate seeds or roasted peanuts – if you like
