Crispy Carrot Chips Recipe for Healthy Snacking

Why do we snack?

Snacking can be defined as an act of eating any food between main meals. A lot of people snack at least once a day and there can be many reasons to why people snack. Having small snacks between meals provides an instant energy boost, it may help maintain stable blood sugar levels and prevent from overeating the next meal. Moreover, there can be emotional and societal factors that lead to snacking. Moreover, emotional and social factors can also contribute to snacking habits. Stress, in particular, is a significant factor that often leads people to snack.

During intense snack cravings, recipes like this can be a great way to stay healthy. Making sure the snack is healthy helps prevent feelings of guilt later.

 

Ingredients for carrot chips

  • Fresh Carrots
  • Ghee/ Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Red chili powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Aamchur powder

Method

  • Peel and thinly slice freshly washed carrots
  • Lay the sliced carrots in a single layer on a baking tray or an air fryer basket lined with parchment paper
  • Brush the slices with a little bit of oil or ghee
  • Bake or air fry at 180°C (350°F) until crispy, flipping the slices halfway through
  • Transfer the chips to a bowl once cooled, add salt, pepper, red chili powder, and amchur powder as per your taste.
  • Toss well until the chips get coated with all the spices
  • Serve and and enjoy
