Boiled Peanut Chaat: A Delicious Twist to Your Salad Bowl

Summary: Peanuts, also known as groundnuts, are rich in protein, and when combined with the goodness of veggies, they are a deadly combination. Boiled peanut chaat (salad) is ideal for early evening hunger pangs. It is low in carbohydrates, keto-friendly, and vegan! What more can you ask for?

 

Ingredients

  • Raw peanuts 1 cup – Boiled
  • Cucumber 1 no.
  • Onion 1 no.
  • Tomato 1 no.
  • Green chilly: 1 no.
  • Mint leaves
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • Chaat masala
  • Red chilli powder
  • Lime juice

Method

  • In a bowl, mix the boiled peanuts, chopped ingredients – cucumber, onion, tomato, and green chili, and mix well
  • Add spices – salt, chaat masala, red chilly powder
  • Mix in mint and coriander leaves
  • Add lemon juice and toss to mix all the ingredients
  • Lo and behold, peanut chaat (salad) is ready – keep it aside for 15 minutes, or you can refrigerate it for 30 minutes before serving
  • You can add spices as per your liking.  

Bye-bye fries and crisps, and hello boiled peanut chaat.
