Shocking! Man Operates on Himself After YouTube Tips

A 32-year-old man from a village in Mathura attempted to perform surgery on himself after experiencing persistent stomach pain. Rajababu Kumar, who runs a banquet hall in Sunrakh, relied on information from the internet and YouTube to guide him through the procedure.

Self-Surgery Goes Wrong

On Wednesday evening, Rajababu locked himself in a room and injected a numbing agent before making a seven-inch incision on the lower right side of his abdomen. However, as he cut deeper than intended, he began experiencing severe pain and heavy bleeding. Despite his efforts to stitch the wound himself, the bleeding did not stop.

Family Intervenes and Seeks Medical Help

When Rajababu realized he could not manage the situation, he informed his family, who were shocked by his actions. They rushed him to Mathura district hospital for urgent medical care. Due to his critical condition, doctors later transferred him to a larger medical facility in Agra.

Medical Experts Provide Proper Treatment

Dr. Shashi Ranjan, a medical officer at Mathura hospital, stated that Rajababu had made a seven-by-one centimeter incision and attempted to stitch it with 10 to 12 incorrect sutures. Medical professionals provided him with proper stitches before transferring him for advanced treatment in Agra.

Police Notified of the Incident

The authorities at the hospital informed the local police about the unusual case. SHO of Jait police station, Ashwini Kumar, confirmed that Rajababu was fully conscious when he was referred to Agra for further care.

Family Shares Insights on His Condition

According to Rajababu’s nephew, Rahul Kumar, he had previously undergone an appendix surgery and had been complaining of pain in the same area. The family revealed that he had purchased various surgical instruments and attempted to perform the procedure himself. After completing the operation, he came outside and admitted he was in pain. It is believed that he administered an anaesthetic  injection to himself before the surgery. However, when the pain became unbearable, he finally sought help from his family.

Conclusion

This incident highlights the dangers of attempting medical procedures without proper expertise. Doctors strongly advise individuals to seek professional medical help rather than relying on online resources for self-treatment. Rajababu remains in critical condition as he continues to receive medical care in Agra.
