Ingredients

  1. Boiled Chickpeas  – 1 cup
  2. Sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
  3. Garlic – 3 cloves
  4. Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  5. Salt – to taste
  6. Lemon juice – ½ tsp.
  7. Red chilly powder – 1 pinch

Method

  • Dry roast sesame seeds till they are golden and grind to a fine powder
  • Blend together chickpeas, garlic, cumin powder, lemon juice, salt, roasted sesame seed powder (tahini) and ¼ cup olive oil, to form a smooth paste
  • Pour the paste in a bowl, add ½ tsp olive oil and a pinch of red chilly powder
  • Mix well and serve with salad or bread
