Write-Up Competition
Theme: "The Plight of Healthcare Workers: Violence, Vulnerability, and the Path to Justice"
- Participation: Open to Healthcare students & Professionals across India & Abroad.
- Submission: Participants submit essays, articles, or opinion pieces.
- Judging Criteria:
- Relevance to the theme.
- Originality and insight.
- Clarity of expression.
- Potential for impact.
Recognition: Top submissions will be featured on Aartery Chronicles’ website and social media platforms. Winners will receive a certificate and an opportunity to present their work in an online discussion.
PHASE 2
Online Discussions with Doctors
- Discussion 1: “Understanding the Crisis: Why Are Doctors Targets of Violence?”
- Focus: The current state of violence against doctors in India, recent incidents, and psychological impacts on healthcare workers.
- Discussion 2: “Legal Safeguards: Are Existing Laws Enough to Protect Doctors?”
- Focus: A deep dive into current laws, their enforcement, and gaps that need addressing. Discussion on potential amendments and advocacy strategies.
- Discussion 3: “Towards a Safer Healthcare Environment: Recommendations and Next Steps”
Focus: Best practices globally, recommendations for hospitals, and how the medical community can advocate for change.

Project 1: Substance Abuse and Addiction Recovery
Substance abuse remains a pressing global concern, affecting millions of lives each year. With statistics revealing that approximately 35 million people worldwide grapple with substance use disorders, as highlighted in the World Drug Report, there is a clear need for action. Project 1 seeks to provide information on substance abuse, facilitate addiction recovery, and extend support to individuals facing these challenges. By promoting addiction prevention and recovery, this project is a crucial step towards better public health and the overall well-being of individuals and communities.
Project 2: Universal Healthcare Advocacy
Access to healthcare is a fundamental right that should be available to all, regardless of their socioeconomic background. Project 2 focuses on advocating for universal healthcare access, addressing policies, challenges, and the need for equitable healthcare systems. The success of universal healthcare models in countries like Canada and the United Kingdom, acknowledged by the World Health Organization, underscores the importance of this initiative. By advocating for universal healthcare, this project aims to bridge the healthcare access gap and ensure comprehensive care for everyone.
Project 3: Infectious Disease Awareness and Prevention
Infectious diseases continue to pose a significant threat to public health, causing millions of deaths annually. With over 13 million lives lost each year due to infectious diseases, according to the World Health Organization, Project 3's mission is clear. This project seeks to raise awareness about infectious diseases, promote preventive measures, and emphasize the crucial role of vaccination. As vaccination can prevent 2-3 million deaths annually, and even more with improved coverage rates, awareness and prevention are vital in our collective effort to

More details about the discussion session will be provided after the commencement of the article-writing campaign.

Final Winner: The article with the most views and reads, based on TAC Authors' Votes, will be awarded the title of "Final Winner."
Certificates: Certificates will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners for each project and the top 3 participants overall.
Prizes: Exciting prizes await participants, including publication, a letter of recommendation, certificates of participation and excellence, and a memento.
