Viral Video: Woman Attacks Mother, Says 'I'll Drink Your Blood

A disturbing video from Hisar, Haryana, has gone viral on social media, showing a woman assaulting her elderly mother. The woman, identified as Rita, is seen biting, hitting, and verbally abusing her mother, Nirmala Devi, in a room in Modern Saket Colony, Azad Nagar.

Shocking Details of the Incident

In the three-minute video, Rita sits on a bed with her crying mother. She aggressively hits her mother on the leg, bites her thigh, and says chillingly, “This is fun, I will drink your blood.” Despite Nirmala Devi’s cries for mercy, Rita continues the assault, pulling her hair, dragging her to the floor, and striking her repeatedly.
A man’s voice can be heard in the background during the incident, but no attempt is made to stop the violence. Rita also taunts her mother, asking, “Will you live forever?”

Police Involvement and Legal Action

After the video’s circulation, Amardeep Singh, Rita’s brother, filed a police complaint against her. He alleged that Rita had been holding their mother captive and had been mentally and physically harassing her to force the transfer of property ownership.
The police have registered a case against Rita under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, according to Inspector Sadhuram, the Station Head Officer of Azad Nagar Police Station.

Family Dispute Over Property

Amardeep Singh’s complaint also highlighted a property dispute within the family. He claimed that Rita had sold a family property in Kurukshetra for ₹65 lakh and kept the money for herself. Since returning to her maternal home after separating from her husband, Sanjay Punia, she had allegedly barred Amardeep from visiting, threatening to make false allegations against him.

What’s Next?

The authorities are currently investigating the matter. The legal action against Rita aims to ensure the safety and well-being of Nirmala Devi, as well as to address the broader issue of elder abuse.

This incident is a stark reminder of the importance of protecting vulnerable family members and taking action against abuse, no matter who the perpetrator may be.
